Central Alexander Fire Department will hold it 3rd Annual Halloween Extravaganza on Oct. 31, 2017 from 5 - 9 pm at the fire department located at 173 Emergency St. in Taylorsville, NC.

Department to bring 2nd year of haunted attraction...
Central Alexander Fire Department will present year number 2 of their haunted attraction fundraiser. A few changes have been made this year such as: name & location. This year the event will be held in the lower level of the south wing of the Old Alexander Community Hospital. The attraction will be called "Intensive Scare Unit." More details below:

Indoor/Outdoor: Indoor
Admission Price: $10 per person (You can order tickets online below, credit/debit cards at the door, or cash at the door.
Directions: From I-40 take exit 132 to Hwy, 16. Take Hwy. 16 North for approximately 15 miles. The haunted attraction will be on your left.

Description: In 1950, the Alexander Community Hospital was built to serve the citizens of Alexander County. The hospital had many services the offered to the citizens of this county which included, but not limited to surgical, radiology, CT Scan, ICU, etc. Around 2007 the hospital closed for good. This year Central Alexander Fire Department has been granted permission to house a haunted attraction in the south wing of the old hospital as a fundraiser for the department. The attraction is called Intensive Scare Unit. During your visit you will encounter the Behavorial Science Study, Nursery, Burn Unit, Electrotherapy, Surgical, Storage, Chapel, Cognitive Research, and much more. We hope to see you all at Intensive Scare.

Department Holds Annual Banquet
On Dec. 9, 2016, members of the Taylorsville Fire Department gathered to hold their Annual Banquet and present the 2016 Fireman of the Year awards. The Junior Fireman award went to Cody James (left) and Brennan Moore (right) was named Fireman of the Year. Taylorsville Fire Chief Matt Jordan (center) presented the awards.

Haunted Hotel Alexandria Starts Friday October 7th at 7 pm.
Central Alexander Fire Department & Alexander Rescue Squad & EMS Inc, will be opening the Haunted Hotel Alexandria this Friday, October 7th at 7 pm. The haunted hotel will take place on October 7-8, 14-15, 21-22, & 28-29 from 7 - 11 pm each of those nights. Admission is $10 per person, CASH ONLY (this is recommended for ages 6 & up.) Parking is available around town at free parking, BB&T parking lot, Taylorsville Savings Bank parking lot, around the courthouse, & street parking along the street. Proceeds from the haunted hotel will be distributed equally between the Central Alexander Fire Department Junior Firefighter's Fund & Alexander Rescue Squad & EMS Inc.

Halloween Extravaganza
Central Alexander Fire Department & Firehouse Subs (Hickory location) are teaming up again to bring you the 2nd Annual Halloween Extravaganza. The event will be held on October 31st from 5 - 9 pm at the fire department. Firefighters will be on hand, to hand out candy and fire prevention material as well as give the kids tours of the fire apparatus if they so desire. Firehouse Subs will also be handing out candy and promotional material as well. We hope to see you all there for the 2nd Annual Halloween Extravaganza.

Department Receives State Volunteer Fire Fund Matching Grant
Central Alexander Fire Department is pleased to announce that we have been awarded a 50/50 matching grant from the state. $7,569.59 for a total of $15,139.18. This grant will give us the opportunity to purchase new equipment to enable our firefighters to do their job more effectively. Thank you to those that help prepare the grant for the state and to the State of North Carolina, we appreciate you awarding us this grant.
